About Our Clergy:

Rev. Deborah Hawkins

Rev. Deborah Hawkins came to us in June 2010, originally as an interim and was named our permanent Vicar in October 2011, sharing her duties with St. Andrew's in San Bruno. Rev. Hawkins was born in San Mateo, CA and graduated from Burlingame High School. She has lived in several places along the West Coast while growing up, and attended UC Davis where she graduated with a degree in Biochemistry and earned her Masters of Divinity in 2009 from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, CA.

Volunteering as a chaplain for a few hours a week at a homeless day shelter in Sacramento eventually led her to seminary and ordination. Before coming to St. Elizabeth’s, she served as Assistant to the Rector at St. Matthew’s in Sacramento, leading bible study groups, grief support groups. She was ordained to the priesthood at St. Matthew’s in Sacramento.
